In 2005 I moved with my family to the place called “The Desh”. Scenes like the one on my blog are commonplace here. People ride on top of the train, sometimes even standing (gives me nightmares). Bangladesh, is a land with a rich, vibrant history. The people are warm and will give a stranger whatever they have (even the poorest of the poor will not turn someone away from their door). I am not Bangladeshi, but American. Then I was not just born in the USA, but my family’s last 3 generations were all born in the USA and originate from the U.K.

I have two children. I have been married for the last 21 years to the same man.

I have traveled nearly to all parts of Bangladesh and I do write about my journeys, but in another blog. I welcome your comments and suggestion.
